Matteo Capitini's profile

F.C. Internazionale 1908

In 2006 I started the collaboration with Oliviero Toscani in particular with a focus on Inter 100 years anniversary.
In three years we set the foundations of Inter football club's contemporary communication.
The work was entered on the construction of a new visual language which went to retrieve historical iconography of the club (starting with the redesign of the milanese Visconti's Biscione). First and foremost the intervention consisted in the cleaning of all the existent visual elements, introducing the white as the dominant color of background, in order to bring out the black and blue colors in a more elegant and less tacky way than before.
I followed all the creative processes related to the needs of the club, straight from the company headquarters (at that time in the beautiful palace in via Durini 24 in Milan), interacting directly with executives and managers of the club. Below you can see a small selection (perhaps the most significant) of processed materials. It ranges from product catalogs, subscription cards, big billboards for season tickets, catalogues, corporate hospitality, packaging, merchandising, team bus... I mean every single visual aspect of the club was analyzed and redesigned from scratch.
A complex and variegated project that allowed me to do a complete experience in brand identity and art direction.
